What is your role as a rural real estate consultant at Property Brokers?
My role as a rural consultant is to market and sell the rural property of all types. My focus is Hill Country farms of all sizes, though I also sell lifestyle properties, farmlets, flat land – anything that is rural I cover it.
What is the largest and smallest property you have sold?
The largest property I have sold to date is a Hill Country sheep and beef farm just over 1200 hectares, while the smallest is a 7-hectare lifestyle property, though that might have changed with a small lifestyle block around 1 hectare having gone under the hammer yesterday in Wairoa.
What area do you cover?
I cover the whole Gisborne region or for a better term the wider East Coast, from right to the top of Lottin Point all down the coast, all the surrounding Gisborne areas, and out to the high country of Matawai, Motu, and everywhere in between.
You have listed a few properties in Wairoa lately, so you don’t just cover that area?
Yes, I have listed and sold a few properties in the Wairoa region lately. Wairoa and Gisborne work hand in hand – quite often you are dealing with people looking to move between the two areas of Gisborne and Wairoa. Wairoa only accounts for a small part of my working week. I am working with quite a few clients throughout the Gisborne area who are thinking about coming to the market in the near future.
You cover a wide area and seem to be busy – you must have good support?
Definitely. I am building a team up around me, with recently taking on a Personal Administrator in Kirsty Mackintosh, who is high calibre and keeps everything ticking over in the office, allowing me to get on with my job of listing and marketing properties. Within our local office here we have a fantastic team, from my rural sales teammates of David and Alan to our support staff and manager. This flows through to our team at head office and regional managers.
